Present: – Ruth Dolman, Andrew De La Haye, Bob Puzey, Chris Barron, Leigh Russell, Bill Bloxsome, Bill Cansdale
Ruth Dolman was nominated Coordinator for the group.
Bill Bloxsome along with input from Andrew had prepared 17 slides as a starting point for discussion. It was decided to add some more slides to this presentation as follows: – i) Why there was a call for sites in 2017 and 2020 with an introductory explanation of the establishment of the Committee.
ACTION: – Andrew De La Haye ii) Options 1-5 will be split into individual pages with maps to illustrate how each option could potentially affect the layout of the parish, with narrative to explain the reasons why the outcome could have variations.
ACTION: – Chris Barron (Maps) iii) A lot of views have already been received. A page with the nominated iconic views in pictorial format with a voting system in the form of ranking ones favorites. There are a few views which we have only received descriptions of. These Chris Barron will submit emails for the Clerk to send requesting photos.
ACTION: – Leigh Russell – Slide / Chris Barron – Emails to Clerk – Bob Puzey to collate photographs where we have them. iiii) A request for important verges and important heritage assets which have not already been discovered through research. (There has been mention of a Roman Encampment and a Medieval Village in Hom Green but their location is not known to us. Chris will encourage the resident who has mentioned this to supply more details through the approved channel of the NDP email address)
ACTION: – Chris Barron – Bob Puzey to collate already submitted sites and verges
It was agreed that the narration to accompany the slides would be in the form of a questions and answers format (Interview style). The slides will be divided between the members of the
working group to come up with ideas for Q & A’s for each slide. It was also agreed that we would prepare a script explaining the slides, not just by questions and answers, and that we could take a few slides each to get it done.
ACTION: – Bob Puzey will distribute the slides & everyone will contribute to the script and Q & A’s. The aim is to keep the presentation to a maximum of 45 minutes. The intention is to have the presentation accessible on the website with the slides and script downloadable for residents to study at their leisure and a printed version of the presentation, script and questionnaire/comment form for those with no internet access should any residents wish it. We will consider methods for links to video format at a future meeting. The Questionnaire and comments sheet will be a separate document with a ranking system used for answers where appropriate (i.e., no direct choice of options). There were a number of corrections to the existing slides put forward that Bill Bloxsome noted and will amend.
ACTION: – Bill Bloxsome The copy for the Parish Newsletter is needed by 15 January. Andrew De La Haye will draft a newsletter encouraging the public to attend the presentation, explaining the importance to the parish, where to find the presentation and how to access it. Andrew will then forward the draft to all members of the WG to contribute. The format of this will be designed so that Bob can post sections of it weekly on the website to re-enforce it in the public’s minds. Note we have over 300 residents subscribing to receive these updates.
ACTION: – Andrew De La Haye The next meeting to review the progress of the presentation and the article for the Newsletter will be held on 5/1/21 at 7pm. This will be posted on the website with information so the public can attend.
