These three documents together cross reference all of the current species data for Walford Parish.
Protected Species Records Walford Parish (spreadsheet):
Tab 1: All records for species which are protected under the conservation of habitats regulations. This is one of the highest levels of protection for animals as it protects not only the animal itself but also it resting place (home) which is of course critical when looking at development and the impact on these species.
Tab 2: The grid references in Walford where these species (above) have been recorded. As with all data – its only as good as its entry. We have been supplied with various levels of detail with regards to grid references so some may prove more ‘useable’ than others. For example any records using a 4 figure grid refence only gets us to within a 1 km sq but an 8 figure grid refence gets us to within 10 metres.
Tab 3: These are species records of plants and animals which have a variety of national or local protections such as HBAPPS which is Herefordshire biodiversity Action Plan Priority Species List.
