Policies and Your Housing Preferences.

Our second online seminar is in two parts: the first outlines the policies developed from previous consultations, the second focusses on the options to meet the housing target.

You will be able to comment and ask questions before, during (if you have a Google account) and after the live event.  We will endeavour to answer the most common questions during the event and all other questions later online.

If you have comments and questions you can submit them before and after the event via the NDP email info@walford-NDP.co.uk , by writing to the Clerk at The Old Soundings, Walford, Herefordshire, HR9 5QS or by using the comment form on the NDP website  https://walford-ndp.co.uk/resources/your-comments.

Following the presentation, we will be publishing a questionnaire with specific issues about which we want to know your views.

What are our Housing Options?

Our first of two online seminars (date and time coming soon) introduces the site assessment report at a high level.  The full report can be found at: https://walford-ndp.co.uk/project-documents/the-neighbourhood-plan/.

We Need Your Input!

The drafting of our Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) is progressing.  The project has been transferred from the Steering Group to the NDP Committee in preparation for Regulation 14 submission.

The meeting housing need and site assessment report has been published and can be read at: The Neighbourhood Plan – Walford Neighbourhood Development Plan (walford-ndp.co.uk).  Note: It is a large document consisting 18 summary pages and around 120 pages of detailed individual site assessment information.

During February and March, we will be holding live online seminars to get your opinion on the most suitable housing options to take forward into the NDP and the NDP policies.

COVID-19 Notice

Due to the government lockdown restrictions, all site submissions received in 2021 will be evaluated once these restrictions have been lifted.

These will be included in an addendum to the “Meeting Housing Needs Site Assessment Report” prior to submission of the NDP documents to Herefordshire Council for Reg 14.

Further Sites Submitted

Two further “Site Submission Forms” for land submitted by owners and/or their agents as potentially available for a range of uses across Walford Parish up to 2031 have been received.  The sites will be reviewed by our consultant and added to the addendum to the “Meeting housing needs and site assessment report”.
